How We Work
Creating Understanding
YIAVHA employs dialogue, mediation, and meetings to foster mutual understanding among conflicting parties. Currently, we are utilizing inter-generational storytelling as a model to promote harmony between different religious and ethnic groups.
Volunteerism/Internship
The organization provides a nurturing environment for students, recent graduates, and community youth, guiding them as they prepare to assume more significant roles in the organization’s thematic focus areas.
Capacity Enhancement
This is accomplished through workshops, training, conferences, seminars, and awareness campaigns, both online and on the field.
Advocacy
The organization drives public opinion and action on key focus areas through various channels, including press releases, digital storytelling, social media engagement, policy briefs, and advocacy meetings and messages.
Research and Documentation
The organization conducts thorough research and meticulously documents its findings on crucial issues, advancing the organization’s overarching vision.
Library Support
The African continent is blessed with a rich reserve of natural resources. Africa holds approximately 30% of the world’s known mineral reserves, as well as a substantial hydrocarbon (oil and gas) reserves.
Partnerships and Networking
We actively collaborate with organizations and community structures that align with our vision, fostering partnerships that lead to impactful interventions. Through these collaborations, each partner contributes expertise, enthusiasm, and resources, resulting in more effective outcomes. Additionally, these partnerships lend legitimacy to our interventions, facilitate fundraising efforts for sustainability, and help alleviate the burden of interventions.
Legal Support
Depending on the nature of the abuse, victims of human rights violations are linked to legal practitioners or letters are written to amplify their interest to care givers, and rights protectors.
